Causes of Wart for Treatment Wart

Warts are caused by a number of strains of human papillomavirus (HPV). Although warts are generally harmless, some strains of HPV are associated with other health risks, including genital warts and cervical cancer. However, research has not found any significant link between the HPV strains that cause benign skin warts and those that lead to the development of cancer.

Types of Warts

Warts are identified based on their location and physical characteristics:

The common wart is a raised, rough growth that appears on the hands and knees.
Flat warts are small and smooth, and tend to show up on the neck, face, hands, and knees in large numbers.
Filiform warts are thread-shaped warts that appear on the face around the eyes and lips.
Plantar warts affect the feet. They generally appear on surfaces subjected to high pressure (for example, the balls of the feet during walking).
Plantar warts may appear with black spots in the center.
Mosaic warts are similar to plantar warts, but appear in clusters on the hands and feet.
Genital warts are sexually transmitted and affect the genitals and surrounding areas.

TREATMENT WART:

1. Salicylic Acid: over-the-counter treatments contain salicylic acid. Treatment wart must be applied every day until the wart is gone, and could take weeks. In addition, the wart should be filed gently daily with an emery board to wart remove the dead surface of the wart.

2. Duct Tape: Another home remedy is to use duct tape every day until the wart is gone and this treatment could take weeks. A more complete description of duct tape treatment is provided below.

3. Physician Wart Removal:

a. Freezing (Cryotherapy): your doctor may freeze the wart with liquid nitrogen. Treatment wart may be needed several times over several weeks.

b. Chemical - Cantharidin: your doctor can use to a chemical called cantharidin to remove the wart. The chemical will blister the wart, and the doctor will remove the dead skin of the wart at the next visit. If the wart removal is not gone, the doctor may apply another treatment wart of cantharidin.

c. Surgery: your doctor can surgically wart removal. However, surgery can be painful and may leave a scar.

d. Laser wart Removal: if other treatments have been unsuccessful, then your doctor may remove the wart with laser surgery. Laser surgery is expensive, can be painful, and could leave a scar.

Even if the wart disappears with any of the above treatments, it may recur later.
